The Bennett Family

The Bennett-Mitchell Family are pictured in the living room of their TCU area home where they’ve lived since coming back to Fort Worth in 2003.  Prior to returning, Michael’s work as an architect took them on a twelve-year adventure to New York, Amsterdam and Berlin where all three children were born.

Michael Bennett is a partner and CEO of Fort Worth-based architecture and planning firm Bennett Benner Pettit and has been involved in many of the firm’s landmark projects in the area including MOLA at the Fort Worth Zoo, The Woodshed Smokehouse, TCU’s Erma Lowe Hall and the new addition to Sundance Square, currently under construction.  Michael earned his undergraduate degree from TCU and his Master’s at UTA and serves on numerous boards.

Melissa Mitchell is the Interim Director of Development at the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) and has long been involved with Amphibian Stage Productions and chairs the Fort Worth Commission for Women. Daughters Sophie and Shelby attend Paschal High School while son Sam attends McLean Middle School.
